Growing up, I've always had a deep love for dogs. As a child, I found joy in spending time with them, and that affection grew over time. I began taking on more responsibility for dogs when working at an equestrian centre helping care for the yard dogs when their owners were away, which sparked an even deeper connection with them. When I moved out of my parents' house, I finally had the chance to get my own dog, which was a dream come true.

However, it wasn't until I brought my Border Collie, Freddie, into my life that I truly became fascinated with canine behaviour and body language. I was eager to learn how dogs communicate, and Freddie became my teacher. Through training and watching him thrive, I realised how much I love seeing dogs enjoying themselves whilst building a strong bond with their owners. It's incredibly rewarding to be part of that growth and connection between dog and human.

In 2021, I decided it was time to turn my passion for dogs into a professional venture and Jenny's Dog Walking was born. This allowed me to spend time with a wide range of dogs, each with their own personalities and quirks, which has only deepened my understanding of canine behaviour. I thoroughly enjoy the variety and the opportunity to form bonds with dogs of all breeds and temperaments.

During this time, I also focused on furthering my knowledge by completing a Level 3 Diploma in Canine Care, Behaviour and Welfare and a Level 4 Diploma in Canine Training and Behaviour Management. These qualifications have not only enhanced my skills but also provided me with a deeper understanding of the science behind dog behaviour and how to best support both dogs and their owners. I wholeheartedly believe that dogs are always communicating with us, we just have to learn how to listen.

So it is now, in 2025, that Blue Sky Canine officially opens, combining my passion for both walking and training dogs. This venture allows me to provide personalised services that focus on exercise, enrichment, and positive reinforcement training, ensuring every dog enjoys a fulfilling and well-balanced life.
